RECREATION
Our mild climate allows residents to
enjoy outdoor activities year round and businesses and schools ex pe ri
ence a min i mum of lost productivity due to inclement weather. The
abundance of outdoor sport- ing op por tu ni ties is evident with the
numerous public and private golf courses, tennis courts and recreation
facilities that pop u late our countryside. Those who enjoy the great
outdoors will appreciate the many lakes, rivers, crystal clear springs and
nature parks found throughout the county, or you may choose to travel to
either of Florida's coasts. Both coasts are within 60 miles of
downtown Ocala.
