How many residents are there are at
Quiet Oaks?
The
entire community is made up of 60 residents in 48 single rooms and 12
Suites of two rooms each, along with a Senior Day Care Program that serves
day residents.
What is the staff to resident ratio?
We
have a full time staff 43 staff employees, making for a ratio of more than
1 staff person for every two residents. This includes housekeeping,
kitchen, grounds, and activities, as well as qualified health care workers.
Is there medical and emergency response
care nearby?
Monroe Regional and Ocala Regional medical facilities,
the Ocala Eye Institute and Ocala Heart Pavilion are close by.
Emergency medical response teams are contacted by the 24 hour care staff
and average response time is less than five minutes.
What organized activities does Quiet Oaks
have, and are there any outside
activities?
Quite Oaks residents enjoy a wide variety of activities within their
community, including games, dances, clubs, an entertainment area and
special activities coordinated by our activities department. And yes,
there are outside activities going on all the time. There are trips to
the mall, various entertainment venues, church and recreational outings.
What is your policy regarding visitors?
Visitors
are always welcome at Quiet Oaks, and we make a point of seeing to it that
they are greeted warmly and comfortable during their visit. Our staff
can help them make accommodations nearby and arrange for them to join you
for meals and other activities.
Can residents get out on their
own, and is transportation provided?
Yes,
you can get out on your own. Quiet Oaks provides transportation for
its various activities and functions, and there is also public
transportation available.
Does Quiet Oaks have a
religious affiliation? What religious services does it provide?
While
we aren't affiliated with any particular religious organization, Quiet Oaks
respects the spiritual values of its residents. We provide
transportation to church or synagogue, and have a meditation chapel open to
everyone in the community.
